De Kalb Historical Association, De Kalb, NY

The goal of the Town of De Kalb Historical Association is to promote a greater understanding and civic pride through the dissemination of information about the history and heritage of the Town of De Kalb and the St. Lawrence Valley. The Association meets regularly March through October on the fourth Monday of each month at the Old Methodist Meetinghouse Museum.

Museum Hours: Wednesdays 11 AM to 3 PM. Thursdays 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Other times by appointment. Phone us at 315-347-1900 or 315-347-2178 to make an appointment. Visitors are always welcome!

A subscription to The Williamstown Gazette, a journal of the history of the township, is included with membership. Dues are $10. per year or $75. for a lifetime membership. Send membership requests to: Town of De Kalb Historical Association, PO Box 111, De Kalb Junction, NY 13630.

Edwards Historical Association, Edwards, NY

The Association meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30 PM at the History Center, February through June and September through November. Gouverneur Historical Association and Museum​, Gouverneur, NY

​

The Gouverneur Museum has artifacts on three floors, an exhibit building outside, an Annex at the Gouverneur and St. Lawrence County Fairgrounds, and an authentic one room schoolhouse. The museum's collection was built from local donations and every object speaks to us from the past and links us to the real people who once owned it. The museum is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Individual and group tours at other times can be arranged by calling 315-287-3193.​

The Richville Historical Association meets at 7 PM on the second Wednesday of each month, April through November at the Old Baptist Church, Main Street, Richville, NY. Various educational Programs are presented.

St. Lawrence County Historical Association

​

The SLCHA is a not-for-profit membership organization and museum which serves as an educational resource for the use and benefit of the citizens of St Lawrence County and others interested in the County's history and traditions. The Association collects and preserves archival material and artifacts pertinent to the County's history. The SLCHA operates within museum standards established by the American Alliance of Museums.
